Ok, so one of the many perks of my school is I get to use an i-pad. Normally I would not spend the money or the time to buy or use something like this but in this situation I might as well enjoy it. At first i was skeptical of the practicality of something a laptop can do.
As soon as I started playing around with it and began to grasp the applications, i had a mini panic attack. I not only could update my facebook and twitter pages but easily check e-mails and send pictures for work. The keyboard was extremely easy to get used to and the interface as a whole is extremely accommodating for new users.
Being able to use it for work and school is amazing but my ultimate favorite part of the i-pad is the virtual comics. I grew up reading comic books and would spend endless amounts of time sitting on store floors sifting through boxes. I would search everywhere for my favorites but the supply was not sufficient for my demand. Now at my age I really don't have the time or desire to spend hours in a comic book store while some greasy dude in a Hawaiian shirt grills me on my comic cred. With the Marvel Comics application you can easily search for comics and then buy your favorite for $1.99. The price is a bit steep but the convenience is priceless.
Say goodbye to progress and productivity in my life, wolverine will be tearing up my credit card bill for the rest of the year.
Ha, ha! Looking forward to your app recommendations!
